Sun rises really early in Taipei. I woke up at 6am thinking it was 7am. I did a double look at the clock when i saw it was only 6am. Fell right back to bed and snoozed some more.
Mum woke me up at 6.30am thinking it late. Unable to go back into Lala land, we ended up walking around the block looking for breakfast.
We were intrigued at the many fancy cafes around the hotel.

Snail Mail anyone? |
We walked into Family Mart aka 7/11 similar. They were roasting sweet potatoes that were to die for. It was so soft and so sweet. Mum devoured it.
I realize the locals loved Milk Tea. The entire fridge was dedicated to Milk Tea. What caught my eye was this fancy elegant bottle packaging. But it's so sweet, one could have developed diabetes.

Since life in Taipei basically starts at 6pm, we basically had nothing to din the day. So Mum looked through the tourist brochure and chose to visit the Lin Family's Garden. Admission is FREE!

After spending the morning, I managed to convince Mum to try out Modern Toilet at XiMen.

I was so happy to see Xiao San Beauty Store just beside Modern Toilet. Read so much about it and decided to do some beauty shopping in there. They hold many cosmetic products and are cheaper that what we have here.
I was so happy to see the Fringe Curlers that the Koreans use that I bought all their supply. About 5 of it. Each is only about 139NT. The salesgirls are quite friendly and they recommended Mum the 1028's snail CC cream (399NT). And I bought the other range of CC-dation (UP 599NT. We got it at 539NT). Also bought some lip gloss and eyeliners. Was so happy with my purchases that I forgot to take any photos. But it really is a place worth to visit.
Walked around XiMen after but didn't manage to buy anything worthy.
We chanced upon some luggages that were quite a steal. A 28" luggage for 1900NT. Since our original luggages were ready to "up to lorry" we decided to get 2! What a steal. Totally can't manage to get a 28" luggage here at this price in my POV.
In the evening, we went back WuFenPu to give it a second shot. This time we stuck strictly to Lanes 1,3,5, & 7. While shopping there, it really felt like Pratunam Morning Market style. Just lesser varieties and lots of Tees. Not really what I had in mind. But their shoes (not China-made but straight from Korea as emphasized by nearly all the sales girls) and Bags (soft PVC) are worth investing in. I got a few pairs of shoes and bags at about 300NT and below.
That pretty much is what we hunted for.
